Delayed Dreams

At thirty, I'm supposed to have it all figured out, but instead, I find myself chasing dreams that may never come true.

As I work my unfulfilling corporate job by day and perform to small crowds at night, I can't shake the feeling that there must be something more.

Then, he walks into the bar, athletic and confident. He stares while I sing and soon after, offers me his hotel room key. In a deep and low tone he calls me by a nickname and disappears before midnight like Cinderella, leaving me longing for more.

Do I use the keycard and meet up with the cocky and handsome stranger?

I do because this isn't a regular man–he’s a prince with smoldering eyes, daring charm and an insatiable appetite.

Who knew a chance encounter with a football star would change my life in unimaginable ways? All because of the nickname.
