Lost and desperate in the mountain foothills, she encounters an enigmatic elf, Windswift the Wanderer. Windswift offers to guide her through the perilous mountain passes to Oakenwald. She accepts his offer, although his cool demeanor perturbs her. Can Bridget trust the elf with her life and her heart?

On their journey, Bridget and Windswift must confront the evil forces threatening their world as well as the growing bond between them. Their quest becomes a race to reach the peaceful haven of Oakenwald in a land teeming with dark forces.
